Dear Friends of CEM and The Rock Radio Network:
Sharathon 2008 (April 23-24) stands as a reminder that God provides. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who participated and to all our partners who continue to sustain CEM with your prayers and finances.
The Lord led us to change the Sharathon format to two days this year. The entire first day was dedicated to testimonies, praise and prayer, and fundraising was limited to the second day only.
A big thank you to all who shared what God is doing in their lives. It was great to talk with those who took their stories live on the air. Many left their testimonies and requests with volunteer operators or sent them by post or e-mail. Many just gave their promises and donations. God was honored by all!
And talk about the power of God in prayer. Pastors prayed live on the air while intercessors prayed behind the scenes. We received several reports of miracles. One donor, despite being unemployed, made a promise, truly in faith. The enxt day, she called in to let us know God had provided her with a job, even though they're scarce. Also, a pastor was healed of an incapacitating migraine. Thank you, Lord!
The second day, the fundraising was just as exciting. Although the Sharathon was shorter, it was not an obstacle for God: $127,555.20 was raised in faith promises. Praise God, more are still coming in. (See here for the latest.)
During the closing hour, we heard how staff and volunteers also were blessed. Even though the amount is lower than in previous years, we know that God will provide for CEM as He has since its birth in 1953. "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Colossians 3:23-24)
We must never forget God's blessings and provision. It is thanks to our Heavenly Provider that The Rock Radio Network and the Bible Correspondence School continue teaching God's Word. He will sustain you likewise. Thank you for being God's instruments in this endeavor: "fruit that will abound to your account.(Philippians 4:3b)
Bearing spiritual fruit together for His glory,
Janet Luttrell - President, CEO
P.S.: We thank God for our mothers. Special greetings and hugs to all moms on their special day. The staff and volunteers love praying for your requests, so keep them coming.
